President Gilles G. Patry was appointed to the board of directors of the Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc. during the corporation’s annual general meeting in Toronto this month.
Patry “brings tremendous credentials in the areas of research and innovation and we look forward to his contributions in the year ahead,” said David McFadden, chair of the OCE board.
A civil engineer, Patry specializes in the modeling, simulation and control of environmental systems, particularly wastewater treatment plants. This is an area of interest to the OCE’s Centre for Earth and Environmental Technologies, which has an innovation cluster dedicated to clean water technologies.
