Repairs for Tabaret's 100th anniversary

Charles Martin works on Tabaret's cupola

No, it’s not your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman . . . Charles Martin was one of the workers doing repairs on Tabaret Hall’s cupola and roof during the month of May 2005.

The work, expected to continue until the end of June 2005, involved putting new seals on existing windows to stop water leakage and replacing the membrane and copper along the edge of the cupola.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Tabaret Hall and the building will be open for public visits on Sunday, June 5, 2005, as part of Doors Open Ottawa.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to stroll along the halls of the newly inaugurated Biosciences Complex on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, 2005.
