The University of Ottawa’s School of Management recently payed tribute to three alumni for their leadership, contribution and initiative in both their professional and personal lives.
Pauline Rochefort, Vice-President, Eastern and Northern Ontario of the Business Development Bank of Canada and 2000 EMBA graduate, and Jeffrey Dale, President and CEO of the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) and 1982 BAdm graduate were awarded the Trudeau Medal, during a gala event held on October 9.
The evening also saw a tribute to Reverend Father Roland Trudeau, OMI, who passed away this year. Fr. Trudeau was Director of the University's Department of Commerce from 1950 to 1965. The Trudeau Medal, established in 1989, is named in his honour. It is the highest alumni award given by the School of Management.
This year’s Young Achiever Award was presented to Anie Rouleau, entrepreneur and 1992 BCom graduate. This award honours alumni under the age of 40 who achieve great success within an exceptional period of time. After graduation, Ms. Rouleau established her own business before taking on the world operations of Hydrocom International. She later became president of MacLean Power Systems.
