Students enrolled in the Computer Systems Design Project course during the winter-spring session had to build a working robot and submit themselves to an unusual final exam consisting of a project report and presentation along with a demonstration of the models in actual operation. Here Liam Howlett, left and Evan Thomas Williams are putting the final touches to their robot project. The course is taught by Prof. Emil Petriu in the School of Information Technology and Engineering. “This course requires students to apply their theoretical knowledge and experimental skills,” said Petriu. “Students work in teams to design hardware and software subsystems, which are then integrated into complex and fully operational prototypes.” |
