CATA and NCR combine innovation awards

The 19^th Annual Canadian Innovation Awards (ACIA) gala will take place on April 27 as part of the Smart City Summit, at the Ottawa Civic Centre.

The ACIA represents a fusion between the CATAAlliance National Innovation Awards and the National Research Council’s Regional Innovation Awards.

The awards evening proposes to be one of the largest events of its kind in Canada. Co-hosts include the Royal Bank, Ernst & Young and Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP.

There will also be separate sponsors for each award category, which are as follows:

• Outstanding Product Achievement
   
• Emerging Technology
  
• Excellence in Science and Technology Reporting
   
• Private Sector Leadership in Advanced Technology
   
• Public Sector Leadership in Advanced Technology
   
• Sara Kirke Award for Women Entrepreneurship

Nominations deadline is March 5 for the CATAAlliance awards, and March 1 for the NRC awards.
