This year, the University is once again co-ordinating a Christmas Stocking Drive for disadvantaged children in the Ottawa area. As in years’ past, we are seeking volunteer Santas to offer filled stockings to children. You are asked to purchase a stocking and fill it with fun gifts and some practical items (a toothbrush and soap for example), and the University will ensure the stockings are delivered to the children by Christmas morning.
If you are interested, please send a short e-mail to hohoho@uOttawa.ca. You will receive a child’s name and his or her age. When you deliver the stocking, please insert it in a plastic bag with the child’s name and age clearly indicated on the bag. Bring it to Tabaret Hall, room 082 on Tuesday, December 9 or Wednesday, December 10, 2008, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
