What is your most important role at the University and why?
I was asked to join the University’s faculty to conduct biomedical research and to teach the new generation how to research.
What inspires you the most in your work?
Constant discoveries, the quest for knowledge and the feeling of accomplishing something important.
How did you become interested in your field of research?
Like many people, by accident. And then through curiosity.
If you had the power, what would you change in the world today?
The gap between the rich and the poor.
What would surprise your colleagues the most to find out about you?

What is your favourite pastime?
Photography.
What five people, living or dead, would you like to invite to dinner and why?
My partner, because we live in different cities.
My maternal grandfather, because I never knew him.
Ansel Adams, a great photographer.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In my laboratory at Roger Guindon Hall.
