Use cotton bags. Each year the world consumes more than one trillion plastic bags. By some estimates, a plastic bag can take more than 100 years to disintegrate. In Ontario, seven million bags are used every day. A cotton bag can easily replace many plastic bags and can be recycled as fibres.
