The annual celebration of excellence in education and research will take place in Tabaret Hall on September 19, at 4 p.m. In addition, a special presentation will be made by Pierre-Gerlier Forest, President of the Trudeau Foundation.
Since being established in 2002, the Trudeau Foundation has granted over 100 major awards to top researchers and highly accomplished individuals, in Canada and abroad. With a total of 10 mentors, fellows and scholars, the University of Ottawa has the greatest number of Trudeau honorees of any university in Canada.
The event underscores the outstanding contributions to research or teaching made by several University faculty members. More than 50 professors, all of whom either won prizes or were awarded chairs during the past year, will be recognized with certificates of achievement.
