This summer, Protection Services purchased three hybrid vehicles to replace its existing fleet.
Danny Albert, coordinator of the Transportation Demand Management program sees the move towards hybrid vehicles as a positive step. “While the new vehicles are SUVs, they are far better than our previous fleet, generating significantly less greenhouse gas emissions. We are balancing our need to meet day-to-day operations with a commitment to do what we can to cause less harm to the environment.”
The vehicles will be used by Security, Parking and Foot Patrol.
