Nicolas Georganas, associate vice-president research (external), is the recipient of the 2007 Orion Leadership Award awarded by the Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION), Ontario’s ultra high-speed research and education network.
Professor Georganas is recognized as one of Canada’s most accomplished information technology and networking research pioneers. He has made substantial and enduring technical contributions in computer, cellular and multimedia networking and has helped train and mentor the community researchers who have made Ontario a global leader in information technology.
