Aline Germain-Rutherford, director of the Centre for University Teaching, along with a team of scholars from Switzerland, Cameroon and Canada, has received the 2007 Jean Demal Prize from the International Association of Pedagogy in Higher Education. The award was conferred at the 24th Congress of the Association of Pedagogy in Higher Education meeting in Montreal in May. Germain-Rutherford is also director of Middlebury College French School in Vermont.
Her project is entitled “Managing the multicultural dimension in an online teaching and learning environment: challenges and models”. It received funding in 2005 from the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie under the agency’s scientific cooperation projects competition.
