Dr. Carl Nimrod: memorial service

With great sadness, the University of Ottawa learned of the passing of Dr. Carl Nimrod on July 24, 2006. A memorial service and dedication of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s Education Resource Centre was held on October 25th. He was appointed professor and division head in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Ottawa in 1989 and became the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ottawa General Hospital in 1992. In 1996, he was appointed chairman of the University’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1998, Dr. Nimrod was appointed Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ottawa Hospital. He completed his second term as chair in June 2006.
