The Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa is pleased to announce the appointment of Pamela Harrod to the position of Secretary. She began her five-year mandate on August 14.
Prior to joining the University, Ms. Harrod was Corporate Secretary and General Counsel at the University of Winnipeg. She also has extensive corporate legal experience, working for CanWest Global Communications Corp., General Electric Canada Inc. and the Canadian Federal Department of Justice. An alumna of the University of Ottawa, Ms. Harrod holds degrees in law. She also holds a political science degree from Carleton University.
Ms. Harrod replaces Pierre-Yves Boucher, who retires from the University of Ottawa after a 50-year career.
