The Garner King Award is presented by the Canadian Critical Care Society for the best oral presentation by a resident at the Toronto Critical Care Symposium. Dr. Alexis Turgeon is this year’s first prize winner.
Dr. Turgeon is a clinical fellow in critical care medicine at the University and a research fellow with the Clinical Epidemiology Program at The Ottawa Hospital.
The contest involved an oral presentation of the research project “Effects of Intravenous Immunoglobulin in Critically Ill Adult Patients with Sepsis: A Meta-Analysis,” that was done in collaboration with his mentors, Drs. Dean Fergusson and Paul Hébert.
