SPORTS SERVICES
The purpose of this procedure is to present the rental rates for the campus sports facilities.
Those asking for the exclusive use of one or more sports facilities must:
- a) Contact the Administration Assistant, Reservations of Sports Services by phone at (613) 562-5948, by e-mail et sportres@uottawa.ca or visit Sports Services Web site www.geegees.ca
- b) Provide the necessary information in order to complete the “Request For Use of Sports Facilities”;
- c) Read the terms and conditions for the use of the sports facilities and sign the rental contract;
- d) Pay the applicable fees;
- e) Show the rental contract to the facility supervisor.
NOTE: Sports Services reserves the right to refuse any request that competes with its activity program.
Established fees apply to the use of sports facilities during normal business hours set by Sports Services.
These fees are charged to the client for the use of the facilities (with the exception of groups with long term pool contracts), taking into account the following criterions;
- a) Use of the facilities outside normal working hours;
- b) Nature and length of activity;
- c) Age groups of participants and number of persons in attendance;
- d) Supervised or unsupervised activity;
- e) Facility being used;
- f) Security considerations;
- g) Rules and regulations of Ontario Public Swimming Pool Act;
- h) Equipment loan;
- i) Installation and storage of equipment.
NOTE: Sports Services decides on the type and number of employees required.
